Guess where Michael King, Co-President of Great Getaways and certified New Zealand specialist, is right now? You're right! He's in New Zealand—how did you know? He just sent a quick email about a refreshing airport experience (in the US that's an oxymoron!):

 

"I am at the domestic airport waiting for my flight to Wellington and I am using the airport's free Internet.  I just went through the entire check-in process and never once showed my ID – I use the automatic check in machine to get my ticket by entering my record locator on my receipt – no passport scan or credit card id required; then I went to check in – put my backpack through the scanner – left my shoes on and walked through – again no one asked me for any type of ID.  Just thought I would share what the world is like in New Zealand."

 

Michael promised to send photos while he's in New Zealand and we'll post them so we can all whine, "When can I go to New Zealand????"
