Early this morning I awakened, looked at the clock, “Oh, 5:14 AM, I can sleep a little longer!” As I drifted back to sleep I thought about what I wanted to write on my blog today. “What a great idea! Absolutely perfect! I can’t wait to blog today!”

When I “officially” awakened, stretched, and got out of bed, I warmed up yesterday’s coffee (Yes, I am that lazy and don’t have a gourmet coffee palate!), and padded into designated “computer room” (which translates into a room that houses a desktop computer with large screen for aging eyes–the laptop can be visually challenging at times!).

I sat down in front of the computer, logged on, read my email, “surfed” the Internet (you did see my new movie, didn’t you “The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer”—oy! My son actually spent money to see it last night!) and finally logged into the blog.

And….

I have no clue what that wonderfully perfect idea was that I had in those minutes of twilight sleep!

If I had a dollar for every brilliant thought, finely-honed comment, and perfect solution to a pressing problem that came to me during the night I could retire! It seems that my most brilliant moments and my biggest fears grow in the dark and retreat in the light of day. I don’t mind the fears disappearing—in fact, that’s a gift; but, I sure miss those “15 minutes of fame” that elude me when those magnificent thought dissolve upon awakening!
